THE CORK OAK
It consists of two lands, whose shape is similar to two tounges, which meet at their extremity. The earth first kissed by the sun hosts various types of Sangiovese. For approximately one hectare, in collaboration with the French company Pepinieres Guillaume,it hosts the mothers plant MARZE (PMM) of Ciliegiolo, Blackthorn, Canaiolo, C. Nipozzano and Sangiovese from 2000/1 to 2000/7.In the remaining 4 hectares Sangiovese is cultivated in all of the planting layout of 250x80, spurred cordon training system (rooted vine cutting certified P.Guillaume FR)
Bordering the entrance is the piece of land that reaches the highest point of the entire farm bordered on the north by cork trees. 3 hectares of this land are home to various grape types such as Syrah (1 hectare), Grenache (1.5 acres), Cabernet Franc (0.5 hectares) with a planting layout of 250x80 and a spurred cordon training system (rooted vine cutting certified P.Guillaume FR).
THE CORK OAK
A land that since the purchase in 2008 and up to 2009 housed 3 wild horses. It covers about 3 hectares, in front of the house, and now houses the Chardonnay with a planting layout of 250x80, spurred cordon training system (rooted vine cutting certified P.Guillaume FR)
Located on the crest of the hill, coming up from he Great Oak towards the house, is characterized by a strong wind throughout the year. It covers about one hectare planted with Pinot Noir with a planting layout of 250x80 and spurred cordon training system (rooted vine cutting certified P.Guillaume FR).
It also houses the warehouse of finished materials with its photovoltaic plant (20 kW), both of new construction.
Plot almost flat bordering the river Lanzo, that near to it forms a natural swimming pool, is characterized by the presence of a single size oak.
It stretches for about 4 hectares, entirely planted with Vermentino with a sixth of 230x80 and Guyot trained (certified cuttings Rauscedo).
In the early days spent with our two dogs Ciarli and Bo, walking through the various plots of land, Paola and I decided to identify future fields of vineyards, with names related to our feelings of the moment.
Sensations were transmitted from the soil, vegetation, climate conditions, exposure, and last but not least from our affections.
